This area is amazing! It’s super easy to get to. The front entry is easy to find. Right when I walked in I found that they had a small garage sale going on inside. You can also find snowboards, bikes, backpacks, sleeping bags, socks, hiking gear, and much more. Every time I go to REI I wish that I had a $10,000 gift card to spend there because there’s so much good stuff. One of the things that I would encourage you to look for a darn tough socks they last forever. This location sells them. I also found that the staff was very friendly, and the restrooms are clean, which is a priority for me.
My Son bought a luggage rack here for $600. It was a wait to get help because they were busy but customer service was still great. They have everything for outdoor activities but the bikes caught my attention. Some are real pricey but quality is excellent.
Be warned that REI, at least at this store, is now "bring your own bag". That note aside, REI is its usual excellent self at what it does.
Nice place, staff was friendly and helpful. I've been wanting to go into an REI since I planned a week long camping trip awhile back. Lots of stuff to see and drool over. I think a lot of the items they sell are top dollar and often cheaper elsewhere though... They do seem to carry top of the line stuff however. I'll be excited for my next trip there, maybe I'll find something on clearance. Found a cool shirt I wish was cheaper.
Clean, lots of parking in front and on left side of building. Store is clean, manager(?) teaching associates about water filters, spreading the love of camping and customer service today. All the associates came up and asked to help me, except the guy at the door who looks like “Drew Carey” he absolutely didn’t say hi or bye upon entrance or exit until I said something on way out. In regular work clothes today, maybe if I looked the part next time…
They have “Coast” flash lights, but so does Walmart. I asked for “SureFire” flashlights, they don’t carry them :-(
I asked for a “ISC D5” (belay) nope, they don’t carry those either :-(
Went and checked out the climbing gear, I like “Rock Exotica” they don’t carry that brand :-(
I rarely get over here, but I’m starting to ask myself why I keep coming back…
Also, trash in front of their store front.
Edit: One more thing folks, they do not have a Returned Item Section at this store. So if you’re looking for stuff to teach a troop of kids, but still want to have good (slightly used) products, call ahead first. The associate couldn’t even tell me a store nearby that had them. I asked if he could look it up sense I have 8 kids to buy for… Nope, he didn’t know how to go about doing that.
Purchased a new mountain bike and a kayak recently so I've had to come here a few times already for parts/accessories and such. They have a great selection of outdoor gear and cover all the outdoor activities throughout the store very well. I particularly like the bike section because they carry the most popular MTB items that riders are most interested anyway. Imo it seems they try not to source products that are produced so cheap. Quality seems to outweigh price here and thats ok with me bcuz id rather spend more for something that will last me a long time. REI does their in house clothing line very well to keep up with the seasons and current styles, clean cut looking style throughout their line. REI brand always pleasantly suprises me. You always expect store brands to be terrible but not theirs, at least not yet for me. Oh and the CO-OP Membership is definitely worth buying (lifetime $30) with all the savings and access to benefits its totally worth it for my situation! Thanks REI
Wowza, talk about service... they are top-notch! Kind resourceful and truly customer focused! Thank you! It was my first time in an REI and I will be back in person and online!
Best place for everything you need in outdoor equipment from clothes, shoes, camping gear, backpacking, cycling, snowboarding, kayaking and everything else in between, only things they don’t sell are equipments that harm animals, a totally green place to shop
